Questions like these (and answers) are what keep forums from dying. Traffic is a must. And as great as google is, it is a massive rabbit hole. One can fritter away a ton of time looking for info

I’m not saying the info wasn’t easy to find, but I can count on many, many occasions google searches that come up with link after link of things that are related to a key word and not necessarily what your after. For instance, if someone was to key in a search for Johnson 60 hp prop, I might find tons of hits for Johnson (all hp ranges and all subjects which may be or not be related etc)

And a sea of links for props for all mfg’s or retailers who pay for top ads.
Especially frustrating for a newbie who doesn’t know the correct terminology. Add this, and the search gets 100x more cumbersome.

I appreciate this forum and all the help I get from it, but It is certainly much more of tech forum than a discussion forum. And a beauty of a thing for busy people who don’t want to be stuck in the search engine mire.
