Where can I get a drain plug like this?????

Its off a 1959 Starcraft Jet. I seemed to have lost the the original. It goes on the bottom of the boat (not transom). Its got 3/4 inch threads that are not tapered. Had a flange and a rubber gasket to keep it from going all the way through. Any ideas?????

A stubby 3/4" bolt with a rubber gasket is what I would be using,even a locking nut on the bolt to adjust the height would work.

Your local NAPA or any other auto parts store ought to have a gasketed oil drain plug that would work. That's probably what was in there.

While it looks like a garboard plug, it probably uses a 3/4 inch threaded white plastic plug with an O-ring seal. I forget exactly what they are called, but you should be able to get them in a two pak by Attwood in your local marine store. Cost a couple of bucks. I have two of them on the transom of my small tunnel hull and replaced them a couple of years ago because the slots were too damaged to loosen them at the end of the day.

3/4" garboard or bung plug- easy to find at atuo parts store or marine supply.
