So I’ve been googling for a service manual for my motor and keep ending up in dead end, shady sounding websites. Where do you all get your manuals?

Thanks!

I'm gonna buy a crystal ball. I see the need every day lately.

Hey Steve!! :D

I tried looking around a bit, but I kept coming back to the boatinfo site..
I looked up the serial number you gave in the impeller thread..
For the others, I'll post what I know on your engine.

You stated it's a 1987 35hp Mercury outboard. S/N A951776
when I did a serial lookup on that, it comes back as:

Mercury 1986 35HP Model Number 1035716 Version ELO

Not sure if there's a big difference between 86 and 87. Probably not, but using that info, I kept getting results at boatinfo.
I may have missed something in Don S. service manual index.
There may be an OEM Service manual Part number in that list. I don't see your serial number in the ranges (nothing with A anyway), but the closest I think would be 90-42794--1 / 690.
I'm just not sure if I'm reading that index right or not..

Not sure if that helps at all.. :noidea:

Hey jbuote,
Yes that does help get me closer. I guess I should have said I was TOLD it was a 1987 lol. Anyway, thank you!

Sorry, didn’t intend to be annoying. As I stated, I had been doing my own searching but coming up empty.
