Where do find boat values?

Hi everyone, im looking at getting a new boat but would reLly be Ble to know if the asking price is fair or not. Is there a site that i can get prices, canadian prices if possible. Im looking at a 1999 campion chase 630zri with a 350mpi, guy wants 22600 for it witch i find is high!

734hrs on the engine...is that too mich for a 350? What kinda lifespan should i be looking at with that engine?

There is no accurate pricing source.
They are all way off.
They were way off the mark before, and now with the bad economy for 5 years, and the resulting slump in the boat market, they are now off by as much as 50%.

People are trying t get what they bought it for 6-10 years ago, or get what they owe on the loan. Guess what? They are going to have to find a rich stupid person to buy their boat.

Best thing to do is look at what similar size and year boats are going for in your area. Prices can vary a lot for the same boat in different parts of the country.

Kinda figured that was the case. Was looking at some values on nada guides and theyre so low compared to what the market is but i thought id ask. What about my engine question? Ill start a new tread in the engine forum if needed...

734 hours isn't the problem, it's what kind of maintenance and care it's had that makes the difference. If it looks like new and runs fine, then it's probably in good shape, but 734 hrs and it's all corroded and not running, well, I would walk (run) away.
A mechanical survey by a certified dealer for that type engine and drive would be money well spent when you are looking at 22K for the boat. With the MPI engines, they can get data about the engine as well.

ill go have a look at it, the owner works for a car dealer so from what he says the engine is well taken care of. well see that in person but so far i find that the boats priced too high. the boat is 2hrs away so thats an incoveniance. its dead winter here so there are not many boats for sale at this time of year.
