Where do you connect a water pressure gauge on a 150 looper?

Hopefully someone will be able to give you specific advice. Until then, you might check the teleflex website. They used to have technical documents for all their gauges including hook up locations for various engines. Even if you don't have a teleflex gauge, the location for the water tube hook up would be the same, I would think.

Put a tee fitting in the tell-tale outlet tube.

On the 60* loopers there's a plug on each cylinder head. Remove the brass plug and the fitting for the gauge goes in either one, whichever is easiest for you.

BTW -- there is no hose on a 60*. The routing for the indicator is all done in the adaptor plate.

Thanks a lot. Do you know how much pressure to expect at idle?

Probably 3 to 5 lbs minimum. I think my last one was 6-8 at idle and close to 30 at speed. A lot depends on the gauge. I had 2 Faria pressure gauges and both never showed over about 16-18 lbs on any motor we ever had on the boat.

The other thing is that I use the high pressure pump in all my V4 & V6 OMC's.
