Where do you guys mount your XM antenna?

Suction to the windshield? I would think the boat cover may not agree with this. Anywhere else?

Can you get away with _under_ the windshield on the dash in a boat since it's all open?

Thoughts?

I mounted one on the rear deck of one of my old cars, under the rear window, and it worked fine. On my boat I have it velcro'ed to the gunnel, a nice flat spot that doesn't end up "aiming" the antenna one direction or another as the boat moves around.

Top of your dash with a little velcro will do the trick...

mine is on top of the dash under the window with double sided tape. It works great

Oh hah, I just re-unboxed my XM stuff and realized that the XM antenna is completely flat (it was a Christmas gift that's been sitting on my shelf). I thought it was pointy for some reason. Guess it don't much matter where I put it.

Not really, mine is just tossed up on the dash of either the truck or the boat. Car has one mounted on the trunk lid.

newer ones are magnetic, i just made a metal plate for it its right next to console
