I recently purchased a bungee tow rope and it is amazing. It just quadruples the fun.

I noticed on one end is the actual bungee which stretches. Where is the recommended position for this ? Does this go closer to the boat ? Or on the other end where the tube is ?

I tried it the first time with the bungee near the tube and it was pretty fun. Just wanting to know if anyone has experiences on this ?

We also bought two smaller tubes but it seems we were so used to the big one which fits 3 that we didn't have so much fun with the smaller tube. And It was pretty hard getting into it too. Are you feet supposed to hang out inthe back ?

those ropes are dangerous, they can whiplass back into the boat injuring a passenger.

I also just purchased one of these and never thought about what way it goes. I am interested to hear what people say on this style of rope.

I've got one but haven't tried it yet, but I hear the bungee part can hang down and drag the surface causing the tube rider to be sprayed right in the face with splash if that happens then bungee at the transom seems like it would be better but i don't know as I still need to try mine out and see.

i tried the bungee nearer the tube and it didn't splash at all. will try it next time towards the transom and see if there is any difference performance wise.

the bungee definitely feels like tubing on steroids!

We have never used one, we just read a couple of reports about them in our local newspaper and decided we never would !!!

I haven't seen one of these yet...

If the stretchy part is short I wouldn't think it would be any more dangerous than a regular rope. Of course you don't want a rope that would stretch, but i would think just one end would be fine.

We have a 60' 3/8" bungee tow rope from a company called SPORTSSTUFF. It shows on the cardboard cover that the bungee goes to the tube. This is NOT a instruction/direction, it's just on the picture, that comes with the rope.
