Re: Where does........

It is dispersed through the body. Picture a pump not stong enough to elevate the mass of water all at once but once moved up it can spread and disperse properly.

My ist wife had a problem like that with her MS and it was necessary that she wore Jobst stockings. It assisted with circulation and kept the swelling down.

Be very careful of that, there could be a clot hiding,if they ache or get sore thats a sign you better get to a doctor.it can also have something to with diabets,i'll have to ask the wife what all's envolved.

Re: Where does........

Thanks fellows, no pain involved. Just this pesky swelling in one leg.
Wonder once it is dispersed, if a man took a water pill if he could get rid of some of it?

Re: Where does........

This is called edema and can be serious. Could also be a symptom of congestion heart failure. You need to see a Doctor. Please!!!

almost always a circulation problem.... and lack of circulation isn't good, could be something clogging.

It's worth the visit to the Dr.

Re: Where does........

[Short answer: See your Dr. it could be some thing simple and easy to correct.

Long answer: The swelling is extracellular fluid. This fluid is collected by the Lymph system. Like veins, the only way the fluil is moved thru the system is by muscle contractions. When you elevate your legs gravity helps move the fluid thru the system. The lymph fluid enters the venous system and is recycled in to your blood.

(I warned you it was long)

Get to your Doc Spinner.
Water retention was one of the first signs that my MIL had heart problems.
