I am looking for a used 90-150 hp motor. I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions as far as where to look (other than Craigslist, Ebay).

Thanks!

Maybe call around any fairly local boat/marine dealers...may have a used motor from a re-power or left over stock?....

Years ago, when I was looking for a 100HP it was a tough one to find. In fact, I never found a used one I was willing to buy and instead bought a new/used boat.

For outboard sans boat, I would say CL or eBay are your better bets. But in my case, I would have more likely found one a few hours from me as opposed to locally. The other place I tried was local marine repair shops. Most of 'em had something smaller or bigger than what I wanted but nothing in the 100HP zone.

And dont forget to look at derelict boats w good engines. Donor boats can be a great place to get an outboard.

There is the hull to deal w after you pull the motor, but some would take a 'free' boat' w out an OB to get the trailer.

Check Facebook for a boat group in your area. I actually bought my Hydra Sports boat off the "Eastern Shore Boats and Marine Stuff" Facebook page. Tons of stuff there.
