I have been absent from the forum for quite sometime.
The other day I thought What the hell let's get on iboats and see what's happening. Looks like a whole lot of not to much.
I suppose everyone has there projects all bundled up and put to bed for the winter. I went out in the yard where I keep mine (due to lack of a garage) the other day. I knew that my cover didn't hold and didn't want to go face the pain of seeing the snow, water, and ice that filled the cover while weighing it down to the bottom of my deckless vessel. So I finally got the nerve and went out. I broke a hole in the ice that covered the water that was now a pond in my boat. and siphoned the water out and then broke all the ice up with a hammer and peeled it off the cover and threw it out on to the ground. With my boat free from all the weight of the ice and water I put some supports in and stretched the cover back over it. I can only hope that the supports are what I needed and that they hold.
I have been seriously thinking about going out and cutting the stringers out this winter but we will have to see what the temps. are like.
Well thats my winter time sob story for now..
