where is my boat from?

I can't figure out where my boat was originally registered. The decals on the bow start off with "4G". Any boats registered here are "SK". I thought maybe it was registration from an old system since my tub is 25 years old, but I saw another late-model boat on the lake with 4G also.

The "g" system was the old way.
"I think" 1G was BC, 2G, Alberta 3G, Sask, 4G, Manitoba ETC,
"BUT I AM NOT SURE"

It could very well be. I know we're now "SK" and I've seen "AB", maybe Manitoba hasn't gone to "MB" yet and that's why I've seen a newer boat with 4G on it. What is that number called? I thought it was the HID, but I think that's the one typically on the transom stating boat mfr, year, etc.

We have gone to mb suffix for at least 3 years now in manitoba
