Liability - were they sued? their claim is that their vendor that supplies them with parts for that line had a fire and they are not rebuilding and they have decided instead of re-tooling they would get out of the variable pitch prop market. seems a bit odd that if they perform as well as i have heard they do and there is a market for them why can't justify re-tooling

99% of the boating wants to turn the key and go :)

On there best day these props require and owner who is willing to tinker with them to get it right on there boat and and give them the correct long term care

Then theres the whole easy to dammage from running aground thing :( compared to a fixed pitch prop

I like the idea and would love one BUT i got way to much thin water were i boat

tommays

Torque Shift parts and new and used props can bee seen at:www.torqueshift.aeromarine.com

The factory foundry burned down and they couldn't cast new blades. The above site has all the replacement parts, can rebuild a prop, and has some new and used props.

aerostar still makes a shifting prop. Believe expensive at 2000, but people that have them swear by them.
