Where is the lift motor?

I have a Johnson 70hp outboard. The trim and tilt do not work. I cannot find where the lift motor is located. Is it in the engine itself, there are two arrow buttons on the side of the engine. I thought the lift motor would be on the outside of the engine.

its between the 2 brackets that hold the engine on the boat...you need to get the engine in the up position to see it
