Where is the transmission fluid located?

Can't find where my Mercruiser 4.3l V6 (1997) transmission fluid is located, I would assume this engine has transmission fluid.

That would be gear lube in your out drive.

what you would normally refer to as a transmission in a car is all contained as the gears in your drive. so yes. just make sure you use the proper lube for your application as it does not take transmission fluid.

not quite
gear oil goes in the drive
trans fluid(power steering fluid) in the power steering pump
the drive is filled from the bottom using a pump untill it comes out the top vent.

You could have a transmission if you have a straight inboard. Mercruiser makes both. Do you have an prop and rudder outside the boat or an outdrive attached to the transom.

inboard outboard, pretty sure it doesnt have one other than the gear lube.
