is that stuff still around? I thought it got old and went away back in the 70's

Well, they did get sued in the 90's by the FTC ......Their market share dwindled after that....... I am convinced that my original 460 developed the flat camshaft because my brother used Slick-50 in it for about 8 years before I got it........(but I don't want to reveal a family feud here!!)...But it's all good though......If it didn't I'd probably still be driving that thing around and still agonizing about it here

Well, that's sort of back on the original topic....

I just reread the thread and it appears that he had the boat for 3 months before the problem occurred...

Long story short.... I parked the boat at my house and did not start it for like 3 months.

Well, the marina were I bought the boat supposedly did an inspection on the engine and everything was working fine. They took me a in a lake trial and everything and the boat ran perfectly. Temperature, oil pressure, everything?..

What I did not know was that the previous owner or marina?? had disconnected the alarm and oil pressure switch cable. Even with that disconnected, the boat ran fine with 0 issues until I let it sit for 3 months without turning it on.
