Where to buy a Johnson 302501 pivot pin?

I have a 1957 Johnson 18hp FD-11. When I got it it needed some work. I had to buy new parts for the lower and now realized it didn't ever have the pivot pin in the lower. The part number is 302501. It seems like no one has one. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use in its place?

Remove shifter fork.-----Run to your local hardware store.----Find a pin / bolt that fits the hole.----Or one a wee bit bigger and file it down to suit.----Cut to the correct length.
