I am working my way though this project and found that somebody has decided to place electronic ignition out of a car on the boat. I am all for getting rid of a points setup and going electronic HOWEVER I am not sure this was the best way of going about it. Here are my concerns.
1. The dist and coil (accell) are not marine parts.
2. The dist has a vac advance however it is not being used.
3. Have NO idea what control module it is using and what spark advance it has.
If need be I will go back to points (I know how to work on them) or if there is a marine electronic upgrade I wold consider this. I just have NO idea where to get the parts. Any suggestions???
