where to buy seal kits????

I have a 1949 Johnson Seahorse 2.5 and I took apart the entire lower unit. i got it running and all i need now is to get the seal, put it back together and get a fuel cap. i have looked online and cannot find the Lower unit seal kit for that year. what site has these for this year/hp? and also is there anything i should know about putting it back together?

i have been on langs and they dont have the seal kit for that year/model and i could not find anything on aomci.

just called and found out that they dont sell seal kits for that year and now i have to find out all of the seals i need. that should not be so hard and at least i know where to buy them

You will need a manual, or be patient and wait for a guy like Frank or Wayne to pop in.

Sorry, I don't have a parts book for that one. Many of those old seals had the part number stamped right on it. Have you looked?

the place does not sell the kit, they just sell the individual seals. no i have not looked on the seal for a # i will do that tomarrow.

i looked at the motor and called the number that ezeke gave me and got the only two seals that they had for that motor. i hope they work.. thanks
