ok, so you know all those bowrider boats from the mid 80's to early 90's that had the little teak wood ski lockers in the floors over the middle stringer??

well, I'm trying to find the metal trim pieces that were used in the floor as the surround and wood cover support for them. also wondering if I can find them in larger or custom sizes??

I replaced the floor in my bowrider and dont really want to go back to just a ski locker. I re-inforced the flooring under there to the point that I am converting the entire area into a large two compartment in-floor storage area with the left side being a nice in-floor cooler for drinks/etc and the right side being a dry storage for ski vests, etc. with a large single panel up top for access.

any help would be appreciated guys!

are the corners rounded or 90 deg. if 90 you could use some aluminum angle. If rounded you may need something custom made to fit your application. what are your lids going to be made of? My ski locker is the same as yours was however the lid is carpeted with the same as the rest of the interior, so it really blends in nice and works well for my skis, oars, and a few other items. No trim at all and all edges are carpet wrapped, piano hinge along the back and a piece of angle that the lid sits on inside the box.

they were rounded. and I kinda like them that way as I poked myself on a 90* lid one time which ripped open a toe :(

but I'm going to be recarpeting the floor though I am going to smooth finish the lid cover and paint with non-skid since there will be ice down in there and I dont want to worry about mold/moisture in carpet and such.

I guess I can re-use the original pieces and if I can find straight stock I can have my dad tig weld me up a big single piece??
