Well, chance favors the patient - or something like that. I just got back from the grand opening sale of D I C K's Sporting Goods here in Columbus, OH which was formerly a Galyan's. I went for the sole reason to find a deal on a trolling motor.<br /><br />Turns out, they didn't have any discounts on their trolling motors. BUT, they did have one display model Minn Kota Powerdrive 50PD (older style with white top) that I walked out with for $199! Only snag was that there was no box or foot pedal. I assume (and I know that can be dangerous) that the current model foot pedal should work with my powerdrive? Looks like Cabelas has them for $69 + shipping. Anyone else know where to find them new? (I looked at ebay and it seems like the prices are about the same for used as new.)<br /><br />Last thing is, I'm hoping Minn Kota will honor their warranty since this is new. I sent them an email earlier, so we'll see. Seemed like a heck of a deal, and saved me over $200 vs. buying one new in the box. Hopefully I didn't do wrong here.
