where to find serial number On Merc 150

Can someone tell me where to find the serial number on a mid eightys Merc 150?<br /><br />Thanks for all the help. No doubt I am new to boating!

There should be an aluminum plate,about 1"x2" on the back of the transom bracket.Numbers should be on that plate...

Have you ever tried a spin and then add full power? Makes it go into a flat spin...looks cool! Remove power and recover from the spin....Smoke makes it look even cooler!! Gets a little smokeee in the cockpit...
