I have a 1976 Hydrostream Viper. I am in need of a wrap around pexiglass windshield with frame. Does anyone have one or can anyone point me somewhere/someone that makes after market parts. I've looked for weeks all over the internet and made alot of calls and still can't find one. Any help would be great.

Hi bk11,<br /><br />I spent a lot of time looking for a wrap around windshield for my boat. What I found was you can get new ones from Taylor Made ($300-400 w/shipping and 8 week lead time), or you can try to find a used one in good shape (try ebay in spring) or you can contact your local plastics supplier and they will make one for you (look in yellow pages under plastic fabricators/suppliers) or you can make it yourself.<br /><br />Seeing as I was on a budget with my boat, I choose to make it. I wrote a short article about it, you can read it here. <br /><br />Do a search on polycarbonate in the forums here and you will find lots of information about pros and cons of using poly for making a windshield.<br /><br />I am very happy with mine. I do have to take care not to scratch it. Keep it waxed with plain old car wax and wash/dry with soft cotton rag only, no paper towels, and everything is fine.<br /><br />Good luck. bk11<br />definetely check out Mark's article. I am also looking for a plexi-wrap around windshield for my 64 glassmaster (looks like (or I hope it will look like) MArk's MFG only an IO and 16'.<br /><br />I made my templates on the boat last weekend using newsprint. I am going to transfer these to cardboard, double check and then cust the plastic<br /><br />I will admit to still hunting for a drop in replacement while doing this. As Mark mentioned, there is Taylor made, they are good but pricey. I usually watch the auctions or cruiser want ad's<br /><br />Good luck

i have a complete windshield and frame for a '68 invader. it's the squared windshield, stands almost staight up. cheap if thats what you need.<br />davidcrk1@aol.com
