Yes you do have the where with all to do this your self. Tear it apart and take it to a fair price machine shop. Ask how much a hole to bore and hone.

gonna take the plunge and clear a work area in the garage. I have the factory manual and will be reading everything many times before jumping in. This is going to be my first attempt at rebuilding. I know I'll drive you all crazy with questions. Please bear with me. Thanks to all.
