My 1994 v6 johnson has this alarm under the console. Where do I plug in the built in ground wire? It's a 3 wire alarm. Tan..red..and black. I replaced my circuit breakers switches and somehow unattached the alarm. Thanks for any help.

the black (ground can be grounded anywhere that you have a good ground connection, should be available in multiple place on the back of your instrument cluster. the red should be positive 12v that comes on with the key switch, this is usually a purple wire going to your instrument cluster. the tan should run to your motor to the overheat sensor in your head. you should test it regularly by turning your key switch to the on position and the grounding out the tan wire at your head where the sensor is, there should be a connection about 6 inches up the wire from the sensor, pull the insulation back and touch it to the block, you buzzer should sound constant.

Thanks! The red and tan were male to female and I just plugged those back in. The tan went on the side closest to the ground. I will put the ground into the closest ground bus... thanks!
