where to purchase parts?

I'm getting ready to start servicing my 1992 5.0L Merc Cruiser with Alpa I Gen II outdrive that I bought mid-last summer. She ran great for the 2 1/2 months that we had her in the water and is in excellent shape for her age but came with no service records. I winterized her (correctly I think). I now intend to do a tune up (plugs, cap, filters, etc) and pull the outdrive to do the impleller and possibly the gimbel and bellows. Does anyone have a recommendation on a good site to buy the parts I need? I could go to a local dealer but given the volume of stuff I will need it seems that going with aftermarket parts (so long as its good quality) may be a way to save a fair amount of $$$. Thanks

Iboats has some parts availability.

If you want to deal with a stocking distributor, I have had great experience with Ebasicpower.com.

I have found Ebay to be one of the best places to find parts and tools. Most of the major aftermarket parts are sold from the distributors with reasonable 'buy it now' prices.

All the special tools you will need are always available and when you are done you can always relist them to get your money back.

I have also had a lot of luck with sierra aftermarket parts at Amazon.
