I am currently in the market for some acreage ( 60 or 70) in upstate Pa. or just over the border in NY. For now just a weekend getaway and hunting area, later as my Place to retire. But with the winters we have had lately I am starting to wonder if its the right thing to do.

My Lovely and I are headed to Greenwood SC in a couple of weeks to poke around. Nice deep water lake, affordable waterfront homes and although it's not tropical right now it's a sight better than the minus temps we have at home. Love the idea of not having to winterize the boat. If anybody knows the area I'd love to hear from ya. I'm 40 and Lovely is 46 but I don't see any reason to wait for retirement to start living where we want. I can run a gas station anywhere. Hardest part will be leaving the grandson.
