Here is what i have a, 1990 17.5' spectrum deep v alum fishing boat. The boat has a 1300 lb max and with the new heavy 4 stroke, gear, 2 kids + wife i will be knocking on that door.I am putting a 2002 mercury 75hp 4 stroke. I got the motor from a house boat rental buissnes. So the motor was not only governed so that it would only run at about 45% of throtle but the prop is set to push a house boat at a 11pitch. Im about 2 weeks out on a new fuel pump so i was hoping between now and then i could pick up a new prop that would get me real close. Im not all about the top end im just not that picky. I just need a good all around prop. Sorry i dont have a lot of info. Thanks for all the free info i have learned a lot on this forum already.

If I were in your situation, I would get ahold of a factory OEM manual as they usually list what the "generic" prop is for your engine.... Generic meaning what is going to get you in the neighborhood of desired WOT RPM...

I would imagine it would be around 13 1/4 X 17 pitch 3 blade....

You actually need to be worried about what your WOT RPM is, if you lug the engine by under propping or over RPM the engine by having not enough pitch you will greatly reduce the life expectancy of your engine...

Good luck...
