When traveling to your favorite hole? I'm thinking of adding something to the front of the helm, although thinking this might be visually obstructive for the capt'n. Also looked at the rail fixture kits. Where do you store yours?

Mine isn't fancy either, Boss Hawg. In the process of redoing the rear seats, actually have the bases and cushions recovered with new vinyl and the backs repainted. Now wondering what to do with the two fishing seats, both are ripped and hold water. Anywho I'm game for saving $$$ with home grown fixes! Thanks for the tip!

my buddy has a custom bench full-width in the back. its basically a large storage box with a backrest. has rod holders under the lid, holds tackle boxes, PFD's, batteries, and a fuel tank as well.

I can likely stow 'em in one of the rear bench bases when not in use. I'm thinking also of where to stow 'em during short travel distances between spots...

Mine is just like everyone elses not fancy either it's a 87' bass buggy but it's improving little by little here is my idea for going spot to spot I used 1 1/2 pvc conduit the dark gray doesn't stand out like the white and it's olnly $5 for a 10' stick of it at lowes, it works perfect for just throwing them in and going to a new hole or cove. I cut 18" sections out and drilled a 3/8 hole where my rails would hit one side of the pipe then drilled 1/4" holes on the opposite end of the pipe and attached using self tapping screws. I will post pics tomorrow

Part of my recent rebuild was a custom made seat to allow 8 foot rods to be stored and the box has the capisity to hold about 15 rods. I do need a pic of the inside but havnt taken one yet. The seat is a 4 inch foam pad and sleeps :D real well to

I got tired of the rods on the floor and built a rod holder for six rods that's at the end of my bench seat. I put a bumper to stop the gate from hitting the rods when it's opened. Works good and they are pretty much out of the way.

I often have several grand kids running around on the deck so putting the rods and hooks safely away was a must for me and out of sight is one of the best theft deterrents. Have you got your boat out yet junkman

I have some rod holder clips mounted on the aluminum canopy of my toon. I don't have a picture of fishing poles in them but here is a pic that you can see the holders.

Re: Where to store fishing poles on a Toon...

Got out today to do some fishing and took a picture of the inside on my rod box. It is divided into two compartments one for the rods the the other is for long item storage like the dock cover poles, ore, boat hook, even got a buck saw in there.

I also use PVC tubes for securing my rods out of the way. I still lay them down on the deck when trailering to avoid hitting any low hanging branches along the road to the marina. Dont trust PVC for fishing from though. Not for big fish anyways.
