Where to take my Force for ignition timing verification in Dallas?

I've finished rebuild of my Bayliner 1997 and would like to take it to be tested for ignition timing. Anybody knows a place in Dallas, TX? I live in Allen, north of Dallas and lake Lavon is the closest to me.

OH Please don't take it to anyone! You can time it right in the driveway. Simply set the control handle to full forward. remove and ground all sparkplugs so the engine can not start, now, crank the engine over with a jumper or have a friend crank it while you aim a timing light at the flywheel. There is on line on the pointer above the carb and three grouped lines on the flywheel. If the light flashes and stops motion with the rightmost line centered on the pointer line, timing is correct at 28 degrees before top dead center. This is correct at cranking speed while running speed is 30 degrees BTDC. THe timing will automaticaly advance from 28 to 30 when the engine is running.

Simple, fast, saves money, AND you won't get a raft of s**t from someone who does not know these engines

I read in a book about how to do it and i looked more involved. Some special tool needed, than had to crank it in a gear, jump some cables to able to do that, take the prop of etc... If it is as simple as you say than I'll do it myself.

Sorry! I misread your year. 1997 is Merc ignition and it is timed differently. Chalk it up to a late night. However, a good timing light and help from a friend and you still should be able to do it.

Yeah, it must be in gear to get full advance on the timing and yeah, you can not use the key to start it. You must jump the starting solenoid, but really, it is not too difficult at all.
