I'm back I lost my DSL and Earthlink was in no hurry to fix it. So, I fired them and went to cable. It's cheaper and faster than DSL was (I got DSL years before my cable Co offered Net service) I didn't do it sooner because the migration effort was high due to my eBay stuff. They made the decision easy after 3 days w/ no service and no solution in sight!
Well thats what I did, my current isp don't run out intill March, but was getting tired of this slow and sometimes dis connect stuff, so I went cable and I'm glad I did.
I have cable as well, I was the first in my area to get it and it was lightning fast. As more people hook up to the cable in my area I have noticed it has slowed down a bit. But not much
Don't know how many is on mine, but it sure is fast, hmmmmmmmm about,

File Size: 600.005 KB

Time Elapsed: 3.52 seconds

1.332 Mbps
(170.46 KBps)

Don't know if that is concidered fast in today's computer world, but man it's fast to me.
Catfish I pay $ 80.00 for cable tv and internet. Thats in your old stomping grounds. Ventura county. I saw where you posted your first jobs. T.O. Camarillo, Oxnard. Thats where i live. Your lucky your in West Virginia right now this place is burning like crazy right now. Fires all around
Hey fella's, what's a guy like me to do when Cable, nor DSL is offered in my area? I pay $19.95 for my dial up service, which is nice, (the cost that is).

Any cheap suggestions?
I agree w/ SBN. I compare the internet cable to t.v. cable just switch channels and your there. No extra phone lines needed, and with teenagers around phonelines are very important...So they say
