Which alternator do I need?

Donor engine (1988 4.3) already had the alternator robbed from it......can anybody tell me which one I need?

Any proper marine alternator with an output of 65 amps or more... Or are you after the exact Merc alternator (at Merc prices )?

no I just want to make sure it will bolt up to my existing brackets

This is a direct replacement for the one that was on your engine. (Merc part number is -92497A3...)
