Which battery?

Fellas,
i have a boat with a 85hp Merc. It's a family style boat with a few night lights and a stereo. Nothing fancy.
I'm in the need for a battery for the boat and i was wondering if i should get a starter type battery (car) or should i get a deep cycle? And what is the difference?
I'm pretty sure my outboard motor doesn't have a very powerful generator.

I would get the largest combo starting/deep cycle battery that will fit in the battery compartment. Put it on a charger after each trip.

Oh, didn't know they made a combo battery. I'll have to look into it.
