Does anyone know the diffrence between a pro-line 26 walk and a grady-white 270 islander both 2003 models. The reason im asking this is because I am looking for a new boat that is dependable and trailerable.
"Better" is what you want a boat for, what you are going to do with it.

The GW is a very high quality boat, the Pro-line is a good boat.

What are your plans for the boat?
For 80 miles off I would want the highest quality boat I was willing to pay for.

The Grady White, Edgewater, Scout and Boston Whaler are the premier boats in that size.

My choice would be a Whaler or the Edgewater.

Of the two you mention I would get the Grady White.

Good luck.
Sea Nile,

All of the boats JB mentions are definetely examples of the highest quality available in the national market.

There may also be some regional brands in your area. I would do some snooping around marinas and boat repair facilities. See what they say.
80 miles offshore in a 26 footer is pushing it, and you want the best out there. i'd also recommend looking into pursuit, shamrock, and intrepid. but don't laugh when you see the prices.
Of the two choices...hands down the Grady White. JD Powers justed rated them #1 in Customer satisfaction. Can't go wrong. I have a Boston Whaler...have you looked at these? Unsinkable even when 80 miles offshore!
Intrepids are great boats so are the fountans when they have four 225 fitch ram injected evinrudes on them I kinda like the scouts though they are great boats many happy owners.
Sloopy...what do you do...hit that button a couple of times? Or do you think we did't hear you the first time? Just checking to keep you on you toes! Have a Happy New Year to you and your family.
I was just at their site and they don't say how heavy the boats are. Does anyone know how heavy the 28 walkaround is? Can 1 outboard be put on it (like a 250hp EFI merc saltwater)? Or can a 9'1" beam can be trailerable in Florida? I got the $, but I got to have the best boat to spend the $ on.
