which cable goes where?

which control cable goes where? One cable that is attached to the warm up lever and the other cable is attached to the throddle. My motor has the gear shift lever on the left side and the throddle assembly on the left. I dont understand what goes where. Please assist. Thanks in advance!!!!

On most johnson outboards, with the throttle handle in neutral, the shift cable end will be sticking out the furtherest.

with both cables disconnected,move the lever at the controlbox from neutral towards forward gear.the first cable to move does the shifting.<br />DHP
