here is the plugs for your motor.....
88, 90, 100, 110, 112, 115 1979 - 1998 QL77JC4 or QL82C

the later one QL82C may be a surface gap plug....

Surface gap champion plugs all have a V in the plug number. QL82C is a somewhat hotter plug than the QL77JC4

The QL77JC4 is good for all around use.

If you do a lot of trolling, the hotter QL82C plug may run cleaner.

Trolling as in turning it on and off often ? and if I let the boat sit for couple days it takes forever to start. That has nothing to do with spark plugs right ? maybe carbs ?

Trolling as in while fishing.

When it is not starting follow the thread in the FAQ "Outboard Wont Start" and let us know what you find.

What is your cold start procedure?

Ok, usally I dont troll...I usally go somewhere and shut it off or let it idle. Im not really worried about the boat not starting after couple days since it is a old motor but my cold start procedure is I turn the idle up 3/4 prime the gas and when I turn the key I hold it in so it chokes it. Im more worried about spark plugs because I have ngks now and I heard sometimes they can cause damage.

Put the Champions in.

If it is not starting, follow the thread I mentioned already and let us know what you find. Simple and easy.
