baitkiller <br /> <br />I've had a Lowrance LCX15-MT for 2 years and it has served me very well. I love the big screen, power and high rez screen. Lowrance is upgrading/enhancing their product line for '05. I have seen my unit which normally sells for around $900 to $1,000 reduced to $599 including GPS receiver. Some of the new Lowrance units have dual processers and hard drives!

Just got an Eagle fishmark 480 and tried it out today. Seems to work perfectly up to max speed, depth readings to 220ft at speed. (actual depth) At slow speeds I could get fish arches clearly. With it set on auto it was showing a lot of fish that were actulally tree branches. Really nice day today 70 degrees, clear, wind died down about noon. I feel sorry for you nothern folks.
