which grease where...

My new gimbal bearing had NLGI #2 grease only stamped on the box but the 2-4-c(NLGI) container states "for gimbals, and splines use quicksilver extreme'. Also, I believe a mechanic told me to not use the spline grease for the splines. I need to grease both the splines and gimbal, I have both tubes. Which grease is typically used where?

Quicksilver Extreme for: coupler/ driveshaft splines, u- joints and gimbal bearing. 2-4-C for pivot shafts, gimbal pins and propshaft, and any place exposed to the water.

+1 stonyloam;

and... DO NOT use 2-4-C on bearings..... It contains teflon, which causes bearings to slide rather than roll. (just my 2cents)
