Never been on an Imperial, but 26 with a 10' beam should be a roomy boat.

The twin 3.7s should move it along fine and be decent on fuel. Having the twin motors will also help a bit at the docks. A dockmate of mine has twin 470s in his boat, and actually likes them.

Love that part.. LOL.. Geez guys these engines are not all evil. Take good care of em and they will last, just like anything else.

I always say "if gas is a concern dont own a boat...."

The old adage at the showroom when someone asked how much gas it took to operate, the answer was, "if you have to ask, you can't afford it." And that was in the days when gas was around a $1/gallon.

Oops is right, too. The seas are indiscriminate and unforgiving. Make sure you learn what you're doing before you attempt that trip - or have someone go with you who knows what their doing. That includes the charts - knowing the boat doesn't equal knowing the water.

That trip will most likely never happen 
If it ever does it will be well planed and I won't need to ask if a boat can make it.

It was simply a hypothetical question. I'm not the type of person to do dumb things.

Not so hypothetical - I'd love to make a trip like that sometime. Experience can be gathered quickly - boating has it's dangers, but it's not overly complicated. Make a goal of it - gives you something to shoot for.
