OK guy's I need to know what is best, outboard or I/O. I am looking to get another boat and I already have an outboard. I was looking at I/O. What are the pro's and con's.<br />Thanks,<br />Bob

I own both.<br /><br />Outboard: Easy to maintain. Great for shallow water use.<br /><br />I/O: More difficult to maintain. Shallow water use is tough.<br /><br />Some people like the aesthetics of an I/O. Some like the power, like mine. Mine is a MerCruiser 454 MPI with a Bravo 3 drive. Plenty of ponies.<br /><br />Allot depends on the type of boat and its intended use. Tell us more.
