Got a small lake here I can hook a low cost trolling motor too. Not looking to spend much. Any help would be appreciated.

MOTOR GUIDE $97.41 Model
MINN KOTA $94.99 Model
Not sure on which is better but go in to your local walmart and check prices MotorGuide here is only $74 with no shiping charge. IMO the $40 saved may be worth getting it. (Walmart carries both models your store may have to special order the one you want)
Survey Says.........Minn Kota.
I bought a 32lb thrust factory reconditioned
Minn Kota 6 yrs ago and no problems to date.
Be sure to consider a good marine battery for it.
How long would a good marine battery last using the trolling motor at a medium speed? The lake we have is pretty big and I'd hate getting caught too far from the dock and having to row back. Not looking for rocket science just a good guess by experience.
If you get a good deep cycle battery, you would not have to worry about it all day long. unless you run it at full speed for a few hours. By good I do mean wally world special also. Jus tmake sure to charge it like you are suppossed to.
It should say Deep Cycle Marine. They are designed to be drained and recharged repeatedly. Be sure to recharge after each use as soon as you get back in. Good luck and good fishing.

Bob
