Re: Which is the best to carry?
A little over a year ago, my BIL got his savings cleaned out (over $50K), and a slew of credit cards in which he did not authorize. True it was his girlfriend of 18+ years. She committed suicide in July 2008. During her funeral, he didn't have any power in the disposal of her belongings, but it seems as if they are telling my BIL that he is responsible for her wrong doings. I say that is hypocritical. Now she is gone, his ability to get his credit and life back in order is pretty much zilch.
The LEO that is handling his case said he has over 500 cases of fraud and it is only him handling these. The LEO said he figured that those cases of fraud equates to over 2 million in loss's. Now lets put this in perspective, what if every town like this one has the same problem? Nickle dime stuff adds up quickly on a grand scale.
Louie down on the corner won't even hand out a loan if your arms and legs aren't good enough to pay back the loan. At least Louie is smart enough to know if the loan can be paid back or not.
