Hey everybody

I have an Angler 173F. It is 17`3?? by 7?5??.

The boat is 1200 pounds I think
The max gear + people weight is 1150 pounds.
The max people is 4 or 500 pounds
I will be using it for fishing, seal hunting and sometimes bringing camping gear.

I just ordered the etec 90 seawater edition.
What prop inclination should I use to get the best "speed/out of the hole" results?

Thanks!

4 persons or 500lbs how many adult men do you know who are 125lbs?
I think a 15" pitch is a good place to start. If your spending that kind of money I would hope the dealer would help you test props. If you prop specifically for a full load you may over rev with a light load.

The dealer is a plane ride away so I can't really try it without buying it. I was thinking getting a 17 and a 15, change them according to load.

That sounds reasonable to me.Have you checked the Evinrude etec performance tests on their site? They have been helpful for me.I would think if your buying a motor and 2 props
they might exchange one maybe they will pay shipping from their end.
I think there may be some props here at Iboats that have an exchange program.
