What I don't understand.... Why didn't he shove the fuel tank all the way forward? Less # on the stern, more # on the bow???? Probably the same weight as that block of concrete.

Playing Devil's Advocate here: My Starchief has the fuel tank amidship/back 1/2 and rides bow high so getting her down in the front (sand bags) has helped. Still looking into the wake board boat fat bags suggestion as a possible "temporary" solution so trailering tongue weight can be removed.
(and I've not been good at my cement projects anyway.:p)

X2!

Yah, as Don mentioned...

A few rolling waves over the bow and I'd be thinking, "Well shoot, I guess I shouldn't have poured all that concrete in there! Man, I could have just pushed the fuel tank forward and had a lot less weight in this boat."

I would have liked to see his aluminum deck go in. Aluminum decks have been very interesting to me for sure.

Those twin Johnsons are awesome!

awesome motors, si. would be a pretty awesome pricetag too, if he hadn't gotten motors for near free and had dealer-cost+10% parts. even then, i bet he has >$5K in powertrain. (sez the bottom feeder )

he saved a lot of $ on that ballast too compared to Deadwood's fatbags. let's hope he doesn't live (or worse yet, not) to regret that decision. i think i'll stick with ballast i could toss overboard in a pinch....

Hi new to the site. I have a post that I am working on and will get up asap. I have a 1962 Suncheif outboard that I bought new in 1963 and has been in use for the last 46 years. I know the math isn't right but when I get the post up it will work out.

Any ideas on production numbers by model from starcraft thoughout the years? Might be interesting to overlay those numbers to the poll numbers.

So happy I bought a SC. My Dad has a Stamas, and that has to be the saddest section of this whole forum. It's threads like these that make me glad to be in the Starmada.
