Which NFB steering - rotary or rack?

I'm going to replace the steering in my 1968 Larson LapLine 16-foot Tri-Hull w/1978 85hp Evinrude. It currently has a rack and pinion system which is NOT non feedback  . The Teleflex NFB systems I'm looking at seem to be only $10.00 apart on price (rotary vs. rack & pinion). Which one would you guys recommend? What are the pros and cons of each? Which ever system I choose I want to go with the Non Feed Back.

I just switched mine from the rack to rotary last weekend. It seems like it's more turns lock to lock but it's a lot easier. The rotary takes up less room, but has the cable somewhat exposed where it leaves the rotary system.

Available space is an issue. Rack and pinion requires less room than the rotary type and it is less comlicated. If you choose the latter, make sure you would have enough space for it under the dashboard. Yes, NFB is the way to go.

Thanks for the responses! I think I'll go with the rack & pinion - NFB. Also, is there anyone else out there who owns a boat like mine? I'm curious as to how many of the Larson Lapline Tri-hulls are still afloat. :)
