If your engine is not made to let the exhaust come out through the hub, it will still come out where it is supposed to, regardless of what kind of prop you put on there....

Edit: sorry, I misunderstood the post above. I'll butt out now and let Walleyehed get on with it.

Yup, its the SX drive, single prop. How would I know if it is designed for thru-hub exhaust?

Ok it has 19 splines...If the blades clear that prop would work for testing, and if it's an SX, it IS through-hub exhaust. Ask if you can test the prop.

Your prop should be the same design as the one in my avitar....

Yup, looks like mine. Thanks for the info. I will try to get a test run with that prop, otherwise I may just get the vortex 4 blade at 18 and see what happends.

Re: Which pitch 4 blade should I get?

If this helps, I've tried a vortex 4 blade 20 pitch on my boat, 220 HP 5.0GL SX drive 1.60 ratio, and my boat turned about 5000 rpm with 2 people and 1/2 tank of fuel, that's in a Glastron 195 SX. My top speed was GPS tested at 52MPH I have also run a Solas 14x21 4 blade and it runs 54MPH @ 4200 RPM Prop design makes more differance than 1" of pitch. The Vortex is not a very aggressive design and did not load my motor enough, on the other hand the Solas is more cupped and loads my motor a little too much. Next prop I will try is going to be a stainless 4 blade 20 pitch.
