Which plugs please?

1983 Mercruiser 260.

I purchased the following tune up kit:

It came with BR6FS plugs. After reading on some forums, Some techs
say it should have BR6EFS plugs in it. Old ones were thrown out so
I'm not sure which ones are correct.

Advise please.

Thank you,
Johnny

Thank you Fun Times!
1. Since they did not make a 305 with 260hp, I take it that everything that applies to the 305 (at the link above that you gave me) will also apply to the 350?
2. I have the Mercruiser shop manual's #17 & #24. They both say they are for 305's and 350's but some of the info is different inside of them. I know one of them says it's for 1996 and newer. The other one does not say. I'm afraid to trust either one now because I don't know which one is right for my 83. Do you have a copy or link to the exact one that would be correct for my 83 260/5.7?

Thank you again,
John

96 and newer are vortec headed engines. At 1983, you do not have vortec heads. Ignore anything to do with 96 and newer.

You should be using manual #3. (Both 17 and 24 will have incorrect information for your engine.)

Yes in this case the link above would cover the same engine parts catalog as the OEM part numbers are the same for each engine model listed..,
90-99985PARTS MANUAL, 898/200/228/230/260 HP R/MR/ALPHA ONE

But here is the 350 version since i made a mistake above linking the 305., https://www.mercruiserparts.com/260-gm-350-v-8-1982-1986-6218462-thru

As Chris mentioned above, You're using the incorrect (to new) numbered service manual.
You'd need #3 90‑95693 R1 Aug 1988 Engines: 4‑Cylinder, L6 & V8 All 1978–1984 – https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=90‑95693&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw=90‑95693r1&_osacat=0
