Hi peeps im a newbie with a question on my 1st boat.

I have a 14.5ft sabre panelcraft with a 55hp 2 cylinder johnson (1970s) outboard. The boat hasnt a rev counter fitted but it seems the engine does not really rev on full throttle (unlike other boats friends have) im going to check that engine is getting full throttle and rig up a rev counter to check rpm, but can anyone tell me what size prop is ideal for this engine/boat combo so i can make sure it hasnt an odd prop. Boat will be used for pulling a dingo but that is it really (dont want to waterski)

many thanks

Really can't Suggest a prop without the present prop max rpm and speed.
You could get a tiny tach reasonable, easy to install and will fit any similar 2 cylinder 2 stroke without regard to stator poles. My be available right here.
