Which service manual for merc 4.3lh?

I have a 4.3lh mercruiser that I'm trying to get a service manual for. The motor number is OL019867. Outdrive (Alpha 1) is OL0113199. Is service manual number 25 usable, or should I be looking for something else? The boat is a 1998 model year Doral built in 1997. Many thanks.

Yep, the engine service manual is going to be mercruiser part number 90-861328, Otherwise known as service manual #25 for either one of these serial numbers you posted here, But see below for explanation of why I said that.

FYI, Just so that you are aware, Both of these serial numbers you posted are engine serial numbers only and none go to a (Alpha 1 Outdrive).

Engine serial number OL011319 was registered with alpha drive serial number 0K245820 gear ratio 1.62:1, And the correct service manual for this drive is going to be mercruiser part number 90-8181773 ALPHA ONE GEN 2 SERVICE MANUAL #14.

Hey, Boat Tech. Thanks very much. Your response has me scratching my head a little more. I pulled those two serial numbers off the manufacturers certificate of origin (although I goofed on one). Now, I've found another number listed as transom number, so I have a total of three numbers tied to my engine package - transom, engine and drive unit. These all came off a manufacturer's printout that I would equate to a build sheet.

Engine serial - OL019867
Transom serial - OL215837
D.U. serial - OL113199

Although I bought the boat used, I believe this is the original Alpha drive. Am I wrong? And, what's the transom number?

The transom assembly is the part that separates the engine from the sterndrive and it is mounted to the back of the boat, otherwise known as the (transom) or (stern) of the boat.

To help you find your serial numbers, Open this link and click on the mercruiser engine to the right, Then click on where it says "serial number" it will open a photo of where to look for your serial numbers.
