I have a 1989 Mariner 40ELO. This weekend the warning alarm went off. How do I know if it was the oil or overheat warning? Is there a difference? The alarm happened after idling for a while. Turned it off for a while, and it was a little harder to crank back up than normal, ran down the lake and never heard the signal again. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I am new to the whole experience.
