99hp n=counter-rotation(prop spins counter clockwise) L=20in shaft, cn=year 1982, B model run.

Are you sure the N isn't a M. I've never seen a counter rotating V-4.

Those are good motors so long as the cooling systems kept up to date.
I was working on one the other day. Starboard bank had overheated due to a very old impeller being used.
I pulled the head and the water deflectors came apart like dried mud, so if you dont know if they have being done id get them done, its an easy job.

Not sure, but I agree it looks like M instead of N from the picture.

good, i will purchase and pick it up tomorrow.

was going to replace my 1987 Mercury 90hp - still in process of rebuilding - will cost me more than the price of this 1982 Johnson motor.
